This one is extremely close to being a super course. It is let down a bit by a set of rather ordinary par 3s and a stretch of parallel holes from 13 to 16. Also, the rough is sometimes too close to the playing areas, so marginal shots can in places be punished with a lost ball. Other than that it is great fun to play and the hole designs are pretty interesting.
There are no less than five exceedingly long par 4s, but none of them is a drag, they are actually very strategic holes. The par 5s are all scoring opportunities and three of them can be reachable in two for average players, if the conditions are right. The greens are usually very slick and sport medium to heavy undulations. Some pin positions practically guarantee a 3-Jack, when putting from the wrong side of the hole.
The general profile of the site is more than gently undulated, but carts are not necessary. The mixture of uphill, downhill, long and short holes creates good rhythm and with the scenic views all around it is easy to get in the zone. Clubhouse, members and staff are also very friendly, so despite the aforementioned shortcomings, there is no reason why anyone should have a bad time here. Shaky putters maybe.
