This is a 9 hole par 3 course, where three holes can be extended to short par 4s by bringing in some very back tees. This configuration is not the original design, so a bit of backtracking is involved in forcing a good par 3 course into an awkward track that has the absolute minimum yardage required for official tournaments. Nevertheless, when played as 9 one-shotters, it is actually a surprisingly variable and entertaining layout. There is a bit of a spread in lengths, although a very short tiddler is missing.

Conditioning is excellent for such an unassuming course, it is on par with the championship course and thus top shelf in the region. While the greens aren't especially fast or undulated, they do provide a true roll and enough challenge to seperate good putters from the bad. It is simply fun to go round and round this layout and try different shots. Perhaps a bit more quirk here and there would have been the cherry on the cake and perhaps the bunkering should be more consequential in places.

Still, this is a great par 3 course, one of the few that are actually worth playing. The jury's still out on the executive version with the three short par 4s, but there is a good chance that playing integrity wins it for the original routing.

There is an additional 18 hole championship course on site, this review is for the 9 hole par 3 course.
