A classic von Limburger course that clearly was designed to play firm and fast, but suffers through excessive overwatering. They even charge a greenfee supplement when it's dry. Apparently lush, green and long blades of grass aren't semi-rough anymore, they're the new fairway. While many of the built-in ground game features become more or less unusable that way, the slick greens bite ferociously. Whether that translates into more fun and options for the player is anyone's guess.
The routing itself is quite good, although a Bernhard von Limburger would never go for the throat like a Donald Harradine. While undulations and some blindness are part of the game, they both challenge very gently. There are no crazy shots, where the player wonders how he could possibly pull them off. The challenges aren't trivial, but also not insurmountable.
In general the course is pretty quiet and quite pretty with a very natural appearance. But ultimately a wonderfully restrained, yet varied layout like this one depends on firm and fast playing characteristics to provide some of the drama.
