This course is best known for the "Birdie Jet", a cable car that carries players and their gear from green 11 all the way up to tee 12. This makes it possible to limit the back 9 to three uphill holes and avoid pointless green to tee climbs - although there is a long downhill trek on the cart path from tee 13 to the fairway and an assortment of other walks. Those with carts have an advantage there, but they are missing out on the Birdie Jet. The two holes following the cable car ride are spectacular drop shots, of which #13 with its absurdly high tee box is the signature hole. All things considered, this is a workable solution to the sidehill location of the back 9. It might have been possible to lay it out in terrasses, though.

The front 9 pales a bit in comparison, it is only moderately undulated and plays like a parkland layout in an Alpine setting with very nice views. There are a few water hazards and trees, but in general the terrain is pretty open. The green complexes aren't overly creative, they generally follow the lay of the land, although a few are raised to create additional length. The putting surfaces are subtly undulated and tricky, so holiday golfers might putt more often than they are used to. However, the beautiful mountain site can alleviate a lot of stress - and it has to as well, because there are several bottlenecks in the routing that can cause waiting times.

There is also a 9 hole par 3 course directly in front of the club house, which is quite serviceable for a few quick holes in the afternoon.
