The golf season in this part of Germany can be short, so there aren't too many golf courses around. This one is of the tree-lined variety and, despite being in a somewhat hilly area, not hard to walk. The architecture doesn't exactly dazzle, but isn't too bad either, so all in all this is a pretty average course.
Tree encroachment is not a big issue, there is enough room to play on most holes, which can never be taken for granted on a forested site. On the other hand the fairways are flat as a pancake and watered, so there isn't much ground game to speak of. While the back 9 opens up just a smidgen, the trees never go away and provide a nice backdrop here and there. Basically nothing to write home about, but no reason to pass on it either, if a game is on.
