Granted, it's a very small site and probably impossible to get more than the four par 4s and five par 3s out of it. Plus, the main selling point of this establishment is probably the driving range. But the expectation would still be that the attached 9 holer is especially friendly for beginning golfers and that is not the case here.
There are a number of forced carries with no bail-out whatsoever and the rough is maintained thick and deep. It seems that they were artificially trying to create some challenges to offset the shortness of the holes and attract some better golfers. However, the effect is that beginners will be frustrated and the supposed challenges will not do much for the better golfers either, because they are just too contrived.
Other detriments are the noisy autobahn going right by the course and the views, if they should be called such. As it stands, the 9 holes are better than nothing and at least centrally located, but a lot more could and should have been done with the acreage.
