Although there is some decent yardage on the scorecard, this course will not actually feel as long. There are a number of short par 4s, probably even a few too many.

The Eifel region is renowned for being one of the most remote and natural in Germany and the course doesn't disappoint in this regard. Conditioning is good, undoubtedly helped by the relatively low utilisation.

The unspoilt surroundings make up for some traffic noise and a couple of less interesting stretches, but most holes are quite playable and a few are borderline fascinating.
